Doctor & Clinic Verification Policy

Our rigorous 5-step credentialing audit ensures that every listed Ayurvedic doctor, vaidya, and Panchakarma clinic holds recognized government licensure and genuine clinical qualifications.

Effective Date: October 1, 2026
AYUSH Compliance • Standard v3.1

1. Purpose and Regulatory Framework

Patient safety and clinical authenticity are the primary pillars of YouAyurveda. The digital healthcare sphere demands strict accountability. We enforce an uncompromising accreditation procedure compliant with the guidelines of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), the Ministry of AYUSH, and state medical councils across India.

Zero-Tolerance for Quackery: Unregistered practitioners, non-accredited certificate holders, and commercial entities practicing without a licensed Ayurvedic physician (BAMS / BUMS / BSMS / MD Ayu) are permanently prohibited from claiming a doctor profile or consulting patients on our platform.

2. The 5-Step Verification Audit

Step 1: Government Medical Council Registration Validation

The practitioner's permanent registration number is cross-referenced directly against state Ayurvedic councils (e.g., Delhi Bharatiya Chikitsa Parishad, Maharashtra Board of Ayurvedic Medicine, Kerala Ayurveda Council) or the Central National Register.

Step 2: Degree Certificate Authentication

Verification of recognized undergraduate (BAMS - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) or postgraduate (MD/MS Ayurveda) degree certificates awarded by universities recognized by CCIM/NCISM.

Step 3: Identity & Government ID Match

Practitioners submit government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar, Passport, PAN) to verify that the applicant is the authentic owner of the medical council credentials.

Step 4: Clinical Establishment & Panchakarma Center Verification

Physical address verification of associated clinical chambers, hospitals, or Panchakarma centers, including clinical establishment act registration and bio-medical waste compliance where required.

Step 5: Good Standing & Peer Clearance

Audit of disciplinary history, confirmation of active license validity, and sign-off by the YouAyurveda Medical Integrity Committee before granting the "✓ Verified AYUSH Doctor" badge.

3. Ongoing Re-Certification & Disciplinary Revocation

Verification is not a one-time process. Our team conducts annual credential re-certifications. If any practitioner's medical council license lapses, is suspended, or if credible complaints of malpractice or commercial misrepresentation arise, their verified badge is immediately suspended pending formal review.
